Link Your Faith to Your Life
Full Moon
Lunar Eclipse

Did you know that the root of walk is the Latin volvere meaning roll? At a Full Moon we are looking to see if the purpose of the Sun is fulfilled so that it may be felt (Moon). This Moon is in Pisces (which is also a Lunar Eclipse near the North Node in Pisces). Pisces is the feet. We move around on our feet. We may drive. We may fly. We may sit. We may lie, but between it all, we walk, and as we walk, we roll.
Our minds roll over the conversations we had, the slights we receive, our observations of things in or out of order, pleasing, or not. In Qabalah, the Tarot Key assigned to Pisces is actually called the Moon. Pisces is a water sign and water signifies emotions. The Moon represents emotions. As the wheel of earth turns, we walk and we roll, we ruminate, we consider. To walk also means to follow a certain course of life; conduct oneself in a certain way. We walk our talk (or not). Ideally our course is boldly determined and straightly executed. Often our course is the result of our habitual turning of low expectations and churning of things that go bump in the dark.
Just as one of Virgo’s functions is routine cleaning or housekeeping, Pisces also cleanses by purifying and is best done routinely. In this regard, the house we keep is the Temple.
Spirit isn’t picked up by your tuning stations (your planets as chakras) when you are out of tune with bitterness, rancor, fear or futility. The meditation of Aquarius leads to the purification of Pisces. Wash your spirit in the goodness of God despite appearances to the contrary. Don’t make your drink the poison of the not-good, not good enough. Drink the living waters of all things working together for good. Cleanse yourself by guarding the doorway of your mind from venomous thought and speech that mars and maligns the Word and undermines the power of Good willing.
I did not start my dictionary exploration with walk, but with involve because I was considering the fact that Pisces rules the realm of spirit, thought to be both of the heavens and of an inner plane. As that which is “above” Virgo on the natural wheel of the zodiac, Pisces spirit may be seen as coming down to involve itself in the earth. Involve means in+turning and also comes from the Latin root volvere.
This Lunar Eclipse challenges us to embrace the intangible world in faith and to give the right brain (Pisces) a chance to fill out the world of work and duty. I invite you to let spirit involve itself in all the matters of your life, especially those that worry (Virgo) you. When you worry, you go away from the source and start trying to handle matters with your own devices, which immediately seem small in the face of the task.
When next you catch yourself worrying, say something like this instead. I give this matter over to the Ladies of the Universe (3 Higher Octave Planets, Neptune Uranus and Pluto). I give my concern to all-powerful hands. I know that a Great power walks with me and has brought me safe thus far. I know that if I acknowledge the presence of something Great that is there for me, it glows in my life as a light that outlines everything and multiplies and makes itself more and more evident in my life. I walk in this presence and I let it talk to me and teach me and show me. I let it protect me and speak for me. I let it feed me and meet my needs. I let it speak those words of love that I long to hear. I let it tell me that I am a wonder and marvel of its creation. I let it tell me that I am necessary.
I let it be my eyes and ears. I let it touch through my hands and speak thorugh my lips. I taste it on my tongue and savor it in my life as it works all things to the good and the power and the glory.
Your birth is the involvement of spirit in human form. Do what is at your hand. Making it real makes it powerful. Virgo says to give it a form that works. Sun, Purpose; Mercury, Intellect; Venus, Love; and Mars, Actualization are all in Virgo. And the asteroids, Juno, Mate and Vesta, Eternal Fire, are also in Virgo.) Do your best to cast your vote in form. Do your best to serve the light and to do so quietly, fiercely and reverently. Identify with the One. Identify all things as the One Thing. Nothing is separate from the One Thing. Let the storm roil and wail about you, as you say, “I know who thou art. Thou art the One. Therefore nothing can harm me.” Then act as if this is so.
This takes practice. Thought upon thought. Act upon act. Link your faith to your life. No mere lip service. Bear witness. Pass that which tests you mettle and so tempers it sharp and strong and true.
