I’ll Meet You There
Full Moon

There is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn’t make any sense.”

They called the OJ Trial, the “Trial of the Century,” but the trial of the century was probably September 11, 2001. The events of that date tried our souls.
Pluto had just entered Sagittarius when the OJ Trial began and as an astrologer, I felt that Pluto in Sagittarius influenced that labeling since Sagittarius is about law. Pluto was 12 degrees of Sagittarius on 9/11 and Sagittarius also denotes religion and politics.
This is a parting nod to Pluto in Sagittarius. It is 29 degrees of the sign, due to enter Capricorn on January 25, 2008, though it will revisit Sagittarius briefly between June and November of this year before it leaves the sign for good.
Jenny Jones, the talk show host, did a show on the OJ trial where she had the people who thought OJ was guilty line up on one side of the room, and the people who thought he was innocent on the other side of the room. I was shocked at the results. All of the Black people were on one side of the room, and all of the White people were on the other side of the room. I asked myself. “Do I believe OJ is innocent because I am Black?”
I am a Pisces, champion of the downtrodden, but my thinking planet, Mercury, is in Aquarius, where one marches to the beat of one’s own drummer. Was I not thinking for myself? The answer to that question turns out to be a yes, because I no longer think he is innocent. That changed when I saw a clip of him make stabbing motions with a knife in a TV appearance, a very unnatural thing for him to do if he were innocent, in my opinion. The Jenny Jones line-up opened my eyes to the folly of black and white, party line thinking wherever it occurs. It gave me a distinct distaste for partisanship and polarization.
I think it is important to share this now when the Sun has freshly entered Aquarius to join Chiron, Vesta, Mercury, Neptune, and the North Node, all in Aquarius. Wherever Aquarius is in your chart, you are hosting a full house and you are ripe to open your mind for the ring of truth. This is important as we embark upon presidential election primaries of February and have to think about how we want to proceed as a nation.
I believe that it is vitally important that we think for ourselves and that we think honorably with our highest intent, willing to let go of any cherished errors. If we proceed in this manner, we shall find ourselves able to meet “beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing.”
Where is this field? In the inner plane. Shall we meet there and bring our conversation to bear upon our ailing world?
My friend Michele asked me if we were in the Age of Aquarius. I’m not sure. But surely we need to be. Do your best, please, and I will do mine, and we shall see how our meeting makes a difference.
