God Fell Out of the Sky
Full Moon

Despite my thoughts and words, God had remained in the sky. Beloved, good, counted on more and more, but still far off. I didn’t even know this until one recent morning, musing, meditating, I said to God, “I belong to Thee.” I heard, “God is not an abstraction.” With that, the God I would have told you wasn’t in the sky, fell out of it. God went from the sky into everything. God is everyone I know and every thing I know.
Keep it Light. Above all, be an observer. Be a dispassionate observer, mostly of yourself. Dispassionate is an important word here. It is a word assigned to Aquarius which is one sign beyond Capricorn, beyond the world of name and form and prejudice and error. I can tell you that the only way to look at yourself honestly when you are potentially off the mark is to be dispassionate. Whatever your findings, you will still be good, great and eternal. If your findings suggest you are in your own way, wearing a lead helmet over your own glory, wouldn’t you rather see than not see?
Seeing sets you free.
For many of us, power has an automatic negative connotation. Power is synonymous with destruction and war. Whatever house Pluto is in at your birth is where you deal with power. Pluto in close relationship to other planets in your natal chart provides more details about this power. For example, in my chart, Pluto is in opposition to Mercury (which rules speech). I learned early that my speech had the power to make my mother shut me up and shut me down. When I was young in astrology, I had to learn to not hammer at a client to get the point, especially since many of those early clients were family members and friends and I tended to be invested in them getting it. These days I believe in the power of words and thoughts as builders of that which has substance and form.
In the tarot key to which Pluto is assigned, a man, woman and child are liberated from their coffins by the seven tones coming from the horn of Gabriel. Right now, wherever you have 1 degree of Capricorn, Pluto calls to you to come out of the prison of dependence and reliance on form. Here are magic words for the fear you might feel in the face of impending change: “It’s all One. Everything is every thing. It’s all good.”
Pluto symbolizes God omnipotent, all-powerful, all-capable. Power in Capricorn is about transcending form, transcending blocks, transcending obstruction. And it is transcending power as a threatening force, where you are afraid for yourself or your children. Expect the best. “You are not what happens to you,” as Carl Jung says. You are how you respond. With the Sun in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, you have the opportunity to see what might have stopped you and blocked you.
If you have reached a crisis at home and action must be taken, it might seem that you must resort to force. If you are having an internal crisis you might be beating up on yourself. Is that working? Does that make you feel more confident and capable?
Recently, walking to her car with my friend Michele, I saw a bumper sticker that caught my eye. All I could see was the date, 01.20.09. When I got close enough to see more, it said, “Bush’s last day as president.” I laughed, feeling the sentiment. But I said to Michele, that though it would be good, in my eyes, to see him gone, the president is not the problem or the answer. The problem, and therefore the answer lies in the individual. The Sun in Aries illuminates your individuality, your being, your life, your resonance, radiance, and initiative.
We could stop the war, but not by going against those are for it. We are the war and (Sun in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn), and we are the peace (Moon in Libra). I am. You are. When we are not at war (within ourselves, with each other) the war will be over. This doesn’t depend on Lulu. It depends on you. Can that happen? Now? Today?
God is Life, every bit and detail of life. Life is not about the great thing tomorrow, depending on that which is external to me, be it God, my lover, my friend, my child, or my enemy. Life’s great, today. Are you at war with it or at peace? If you are at war, the peace it at your hand.
