Yes. I Can

What you see is what you get. Seeing is psychological. What is most important is that which is behind the eyes of you the viewer.

We make a world based on what we see. It is as if we are all playing at once with this stuff that can be shaped, and it takes form like the movement of a kaleidoscope—every movement reflecting and affecting every other movement. Our psychology puts us places, hooks us up with people, and gives us things to do, create, and enact. And so, frame by frame, we build our world.

Do you get the picture? What I am calling your psychology is the collection of your ideas, opinions, and assertions—the rules you are living by, and how you feel about your everyday experiences.

Most of us are living under water, bound and swayed by how we feel about things, long after we have had any conscious thoughts about them. For example, I am in a new business that has a dress code. I am required to look business-like, and neat. I had to find a pair of business-like shoes—no toes exposed. My comfy clogs won’t do. Then I had to find the dresses that could work as business attire—not easy for me because I tend to dress goddess-eclectic. I don’t own a business suit. I was ready and willing to conform at first, but soon I was complaining about what I do and do not look good in, and how, when I get to a certain level, I might not want to wear the suit that is the uniform that tells my status. (Well I do want to. It is a suit of honor and distinction, but the style of the suits I currently see are not my style.)
Lucky for me, Mary Kay (who is now deceased) herself came to visit me in a dream, spent the night at my place, even though I perceived it not fit for this queen. But she makes herself at home, and finds a place to sleep on her own—in my office. The next day we get ready to go to a Mary Kay event and she waves me to get into the car, but I have on a jogging suit! I tell her, “I can’t go like this,” and she consents to let me go change.

When I woke from the dream I understood that Mary Kay, didn’t think the dress thing was a big deal. She would have let me go to the meeting in a jogging suit. Nor did she judge me, as I obviously judge myself, for living with clutter. Days later it dawned on me that the real issue with the dress code went all the way back to the little girl who was not allowed to wear red because she was dark skinned and because her mother perceived that Blacks were stereotyped as red-loving. It was the emotion from that past restriction that was dictating the reaction.

I went from being under water, reacting emotionally to the present, to the ground of awareness. The dress code was really a non-issue. I was making it more restrictive than it was. The cosmetic beauty business opportunity has helped me pay attention to the relevance and splendor of looking beautiful. Coincidentally, my sense of my inner beauty is enhanced. As it goes, when you look better, you feel better.

Hmm. This just in. Beauty and the Bull. I know that beauty and bull represent Taurus. The bull is the symbol of Taurus, and beauty is represented by Venus, ruler of Taurus. The keywords for Taurus are, “I have.” Repeat after me: “I have all I need.” Say it again. “I have all I need.” Repetition helps this principle to stick. What do you keep telling yourself about yourself and your situation? Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? What dream would you like to inhabit? You do dream, don’t you? You are not resigned, are you? You are ready to create and to play, aren’t you?

Don’t let money fool you. You are not limited to what is in your pocket or your purse or you bank account. That is one of the mantras I wrote about in Making What Your Means Can’t Buy. Please, don’t be emotionally sour if you are financially challenged. You can get there from here because right now, at this moment, you have exactly what you need. And sometimes you even need to be broke in order to learn what you can create without money. The perception that money is the prerequisite to the good life is erroneous. It’s all about what you do with what you already have. Sometimes money is the final transaction, but a whole lot goes on before the money exchange, including your ideas about things and the automatic reactions they discharge and the deadly repetitions of the same old same old, or the fruitful repetitions of the new.

The Moon shall go swiftly into Sagittarius. Align yourself with the arrow. Be aimed toward something higher, something uplifting, a better way of life, a better course for your mind, a clear stream for your ideas. The answer is yes. You can.
