Victory Dance
New Moon

I am making my first notes for this New Moon while sitting in the new Chinese Garden of the Huntington Library in California. I am remembering this garden under construction when all you could see was deconstruction and destruction. Tons of dirt were excavated to make a lake. Boxes and boxes of tiles were piled up that would eventually be layered onto roofs. There was lumber and rebar and cement.
Now the garden is pristine and serene. I am overlooking the tranquil lake and stone bridges. Wood-laced glass walls are to my right and ahead I see the circular openings of the Terrace of the Jade Moon. Trees around the lake bow over it and in the distance I see the Pavilion of the Three Friends, (bamboo, plum and pine), named so because they survive China’s harshest winters. The plum tree is known to flower in a snow-filled spring. The destruction/construction had this beauty as its purpose.
So it is with us. Destruction and deconstruction signal the time to engage our architect self to design and oversee the building of a grander structure.
Express yourself in the peaceful demeanor that commands by poise and presence. “Beauty is truth, truth beauty. That is all you know on earth, that is all you need to know,” declared Keats. Love to love. All you need is love. Lovingly tear down the false structure and build something new and true.
Write an affirmative prayer for any hurdle or hump you would like to get over, or any bridge you would like to cross or any condition or situation you would like to attract. Your affirmative prayer might go something like: Thank you Venus, goddess of natural love for inspiring me to create what I want. Thank you for allowing me to express my love through another such as a child or through a project. Thank you for giving me the courage to be open and fluid so that my current flows with another’s current and we are able to work and serve together. I receive guidance on exactly what to do and what to think in order to restore health and wholeness to my mind, heart and body. I have faith in the magnificent manifestation of my vision because I know that there is nothing I do of myself. I receive divine guidance all the way. I receive ideas in fine detail. Whenever I feel stuck, all I have to do is breathe. Whenever I feel lost for words, I only have to relax, and they will come.
Got a need or a dream or a song? Thank the universe now for its fulfillment and fruition, no matter how impossible it might look. Write down what you want or need. Affirm that there is nothing standing between you and your dreams other than helpers, helpful ideas, and open doors. Visualize what you want being slipped to you in the form of a ticket to a movie or a play. Take the ticket and go into the darkened room and sit down in a chair made especially for you, your throne. When the curtain opens, watch your life unfold before you in glorious detail as you laugh, cry, clap, cheer and get to your feet to give the standing “o”, stomping, turning, pumping your arms in the air in a victory dance!
Be selective in what you entertain in the theater of your mind. Don’t watch any movies about betrayal and heartbreak. Don’t watch any pictures that leave you lost or crushed or victimized. Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, accept yourself as good, capable and complete, and all else shall be added unto you.
