The buck stops here, the body says. If you are wholesome in thought, word, and deed, I will be healthy.
If you have symptoms or sickness, no harm, no foul. We have to have imbalance in order to get movement. You can’t create a new reality without movement. In that movement you may have symptoms or sickness. We make progress by going toward the middle. Go toward the middle. Blame not. Be not guilty. Be responsible to that which is above you; call it God or Good or Higher Self. On life’s triangle, Good is the apex between what you know and what you don’t know about the person or situation with which you are engaged.
Monitor yourself. Observe yourself. Pay attention to yourself. You don’t have to petition anything outside of you to let you be free if you know yourself to be free. If you know you are free, you will act free and not beg or fight for freedom. Fighting an enemy that you give control over you is an inefficient use of energy.
Treat symptoms and sickness in a friendly way. Do not fear them. Rather, put your arms around them and kiss the top of their head, the way you might do a dog that expects and receives your unconditional love.
Your body is literally your animal, your dog (art) and your wolf (wild). You retain some of the wild, and you must. And your wild is best when invisibly tethered to your art.
Symptoms and sickness in your life or your body can be used as something that determines the nature of a thing, like a Geiger counter or touchstone, detecting and making adjustments required to get a more beautiful result.
But adjustment and healing doesn’t follow if you attach guilt to this process. Guilt doesn’t promote healing. Guilt is an attempt to show contrition when it might not really exist. Guilt sometimes says to the universe, don’t punish me. I am already punishing myself.
We believe that sickness in life is the punishment of an angry God. Adam and Eve sinned and were punished. They were thrown out of the garden, and for her particular part in the drama, Eve had to bear children in pain. Adam is Mind and Eve is Nature. Mind claims that he cannot help succumbing to nature. We believe that it is natural to have a life of pain. If you are a woman, you think it is necessary to duck and cover and walk briskly with your keys between your fingers, prepared for the random attack from the hostile wild world.
The belief in life as combat is the most subtle beast in the field. When life is deemed to be hostile, you can become uptight, walled off, overly cautious, hence not expressive and not very alive. There is no daring. Without daring, art is weak. Without daring and questioning, silly little falsehoods rule and we are manipulated into giving up the liberty that is ours inalienably.
Belief in a hostile world makes you always mad at someone and always afraid. Or it makes you always on the offensive, striking before getting struck. Belief in a hostile world engenders competition. There is not enough. We must scoop up as much as we can and lock it up behind gates and in vaults and protect our stuff with guns if we have to.
Lay down your sword and shield. Study war no more. Put your eye on the good you would have. Don’t worry. Be happy. Lighten up. Play. Have fun with your life challenges. Solve them by letting them be solved for you while you pay relaxed attention that allows you to participate creatively in bringing about a healthy result.

Thanks for the practical applications and language for applying these powerful principles. I will be delving into the archives and commit to being present to upcoming ones.

Hmmm . . . If someone’s symptoms are congenital, I wonder if this could mean that they have an opportunity to be present as a healing agent for their ancestors and present and future generations.
