Please Yourself

Full Moon

10 Gemini 15’

“There is a golden law carved by nature. What you like is right.” –Unknown

I was trying to make a decision recently, when I thought I would pull a tarot card to help me divine the answer. Before I could do this, intuition said to me, “You don’t need to pull a card. You know the answer. You only want to pull a card because your decision will not please others. What do you want?

What do you want? I have heard over and over again for the last 30 years, that this is an important question to answer. If you don’t know what you want, how are you going to get it? How will you know which direction to face and how to align yourself and what to align yourself with?

Some of us get timid about knowing what we want and running the ship from there. We are more concerned with what our spouses or parents or children want. It seems more necessary to please others than ourselves. Some of us are acting on what we want and some of us are waiting for approval and permission.

Please yourself. Know yourself. Know for yourself by giving yourself credit for what you think and feel. Be true to yourself. If you’re touching lard or tasting sugar, give yourself a chance to weigh in and register the information. Use your own senses and their component inner senses. Use your sixth sense. You won’t go astray. You won’t be abandoned. You won’t get lost. It won’t matter if it’s an up day or a down. You will be locked into your constant. You are never out of the sight of the One. You are never without a friend, never without a way.

What do you believe? What are you going to do based on these beliefs? How are you going to set it up? What are you unsure of? Are you not sure that you can realize your dreams and goals? Are you wanting it, but secretly not having the heart to pursue it?

The first matter of pursuit is the thought. The Moon in Gemini may find our thoughts weak and wishy-washy. We may be easily shaken and discouraged. Our house of life may be built on hopelessness, or we may be looking at a situation and weighing our inner fortitude, and coming up falling apart. We may be experiencing a breakdown or meltdown. Situations are just not go.

See any breakdown, confusion or disappointment as a test to strengthen your mettle. What do you believe? What do you want?

What do you like?

I got a dozen long stem yellow-gold roses, tinted at the edges in a fiery red-orange for Administrative Professional’s Day this year. They were catch-your-breath-beautiful. However I didn’t have a tall vase to put them in and of late I like the flowers bunched together instead of spread apart. I both needed and wanted to cut the stems, but I was aware that long stem was supposed to be an “it” feature and I might be judged as unsophisticated. Then something said. They’re your roses. Please yourself.

And this is what I did. I cut them short and bunched them together in a short vase, making a dome of vibrant loveliness and put them on the section of my desk that can be viewed from the hall. I watched them open more each day, hugging each other softly. Sure enough, early on I got one remark that I was defeating the long stem purpose. I told that person I was pleasing myself, and the one who gave them to me agreed with me. More that that, people came to my desk and basked in their sunny beauty. Pleasing myself pleased others.

If you don’t know the answer to what you want, make a list instead of what you don’t want. Make a list of the things that you strongly hate about your life right now, the things that are irking you, the things that have gone wrong too long.

I promise you, there is juice in them there irks and vexations, frustrations and agitations. Are you angry at the world? Are you angry at the taxed, overcharged, gouged-without-representation world you are forced to live in? I dare say most of us have reason to feel this frustration.

But I ask you. How is it going to change if it doesn’t begin with you? Say, I’m mad as hell and I am going to do something constructive with it. I am going to represent. I am going to stand in my own footprint. I’m going to let the buck stop here so that it can come in and stay awhile and accumulate and be managed well. First I have to make up my mind that I am not a victim. I mean, I may be surprised or caught off guard, but the prize has got its eye on me. I have access to a powerful light with which to authorize and authenticate that which I enjoy. Regardless of how I might feel, I must think, say and accentuate the positive.

The Sun is in Sagittarius. Shoot off an arrow aimed at a target, a romantic interest or a creative project. Aim. Pull. Shoot. Done. The arrow will hit the target or it won’t. But you must step up to the line and draw back the bow with a steady, confident focused, heart and let the arrow fly.

Go head. Think big. Thinking is free. Try on ideas until you get a good one that can stick because it pleases you. You delight in it and can embellish it and dream on it and feed it and keep it alive until it lives strongly, brightly, dependably, and magnificently.
