The Real Capital is Creative Ideas

“The economy” is the new excuse and the new default for lack of creativity and intent. It explains away matters as “out of our hands.” So if you want to explain your inability to enrich or be enriched you say, “Well, you know, with the economy . . .”

It depends on what you think, y’all. Choose your economy. You can get into the default mode and live the way you are being told to live, wallet open, giving “at the pump. ” Then drive many miles away from home base to put in your daily grind.

Or you can give at the pump that is your heart.

What if we had an economy that depended on spirit, vigor and enthusiasm?

We are switching from an economy that depends on money, to one that depends on intention, commitment, creativity, and resourcefulness. Turns out, this is the only fun way to live. And it turns out that this is the way to get things done.

What would you do if you were determined to do it?

Imagine if you were determined to solve a problem, or to get from point A to point B, even if there was no money to throw after it.

You would have to turn toward something, wouldn’t you? Or would you have to turn into something? Or both? What if you turned to the light within? Just assume that it is there, that the guiding light is the center of your own seemingly small life. Bask in your inner light. Turn it on. Gravitate toward something higher. Call it God, Good, or Source.

Repeat this to yourself several times. “The only real capitol is creative ideas.” Creativity can get the job done and the problem solved. Did you get the stand still part? Stand still and let the Creative Process flow forth. Let it. Let it be. This standing still is alert and relaxed. Give it a minute. Breathe. Relax. Ask.

Be done with hoping for more money and a brighter day. What you need to live today is here today. Live today and when tomorrow is today, it will be brighter, even in the dark.

Rely on Spirit, not on money. This is the big opportunity presented to us by “the economy”.

Switch your thinking to reliance on Spirit. This is how you begin to see through the veil. You have to practice it. You have to say, “I am not limited by my cash.” Cash does not determine my course. My pump determines my course. My metaphorical heart determines my course. The Source determines my course. All I do is tune into it to get pumping. Get stoked at the quiet fire. Expect good. No matter what you are told to expect, you have the right and the duty to set your sights in a position that allows you to see for miles and miles.

Eric Butterworth also says,  “Everyone has a desire for financial security. But the important thing to remember is that prosperity is a way of living and thinking, and it does not essentially consist of money or things. And conversely, poverty is a way of thinking and does not consist simply in the lack of money or things. You are poor if you class yourself in this way. You are rich if you can think rich thoughts, thoughts that are constructive, thoughts that are optimistic, that are unlimited.” Go forth and create.
