New Moon Solar Eclipse

Desirer’s remorse comes about when you can’t keep your eye on the prize. There’s a lot of “I want it, but. . .” happening. I want it. but I’m too old. I want it. but no one like me ever gets it. I want it. but I don’t have enough education or pull. I want it, but you have to have money to make money. So hums fear. That hum can cause you to become insecure, shaky, unbalanced, and unfocused.
The solar eclipse takes place with the Sun and Moon conjunct the South Node in Libra, indicating that it is easier to put attention on what others might think rather than on your dynamic desire. You could be leading others, but may not believe in yourself enough. You may be fighting others as they present themselves or as you imagine them to be.
On a recent MasterClass, RuPaul recalls a time when a friend asked him about resurrecting his drag persona at a time when he wanted to go mainstream. Ru had a David Bowie persona that he thought would be more readily acceptable. He thought that the drag persona would not be accepted. Ru asked himself where he got the idea. Ru assumed that he was reading the public impact on his career. But actually, Ru was doing the reading. Ru challenged his own way of thinking and ultimately became a forerunner who opened a way for others.
This is symbolized by the North Node in Aries. “Gold cometh from the North” is an alchemical saying. To go in the direction of the North Node is to lead, not follow. How are you asked to go North in the world? Joseph Campbell said that when the knights went forth in search the grail, they each entered the forest in the place which was darkest for him. How might the Aries North Node be the darkest place that you must enter? Are you ignorant about yourself? Are you held captive by your fears? Are you afraid to risk being unpopular or misunderstood? Are you unmotivated? Do you think you are least important, or least likely to succeed?
This New Moon in Libra asks us to avoid going with the crowd even if we are greatly tempted. Distinguish yourself. Don’t give more credit to what is trending than to what you are inspired to do. There’s less support for Aries with so much energy in Libra, but heads up, chest out, and forward march to the beat that can’t be bought—your internal drummer. Care, but don’t care. Be firm, unmovable, unflappable, and courageous, yet still.

Do it your way. Go your own way. Do what you really want. Be a way shower. Dance (or anything else,) as if no one is watching. Be true to you.
