New Moon | September 21, 2023 | 21 Virgo 59’
Feeling a little stuck? Not animated? But there’s a grand trine in earth signs. Things are supposed to be going great. New Beginnings with the New Moon in health with wealth and status. It is finished. I am whole. I have rank and prominence and a fine reputation. I have wealth and financial freedom. You feel this, right? I don't.
Call this mood Virgo. Mood picky and dissatisfied and uncomfortable. We are supposed to be complete and on top of the world.
The tone, mood, color, or music of this chart is mutable, changeable, adjustable earth. This is Virgo, the Virgin who is true to herself. Is this the problem? Are we untrue? Are we fudging and hedging and outright faking it, hoping not to be detected? What is the remedy for dissatisfaction? Satisfaction? Too simple, but the antonym, nevertheless.
Reach for it: I am grateful for what I have. I love and approve of myself and others. I am content with where I am today. This is a day of mutable earth. Here’s the thing about earth—it is that which is discernible to our five senses, so we may not be partaking in the world of spirit. Spirit is Pisces, the ethereal, fluid world, where only the subtle senses go. The New Moon in Virgo meets Neptune in Pisces. It is giving us the opportunity to be aware of Pisces, the waters, from Virgo, the earth. How do you feel (Pisces)? Not so much (Virgo).
Neptune in Pisces is a midpoint or trigger between Pluto and Uranus.
We are in a sleeper epoch. I just made that term up. We have the three higher octave planets together, barely getting noticed because they are working smoothly and quietly, hence “sleeper. ”
In Tarot, the three keys relating to the Higher Octave planets are called the Mother Letters and they correspond to the primary colors. Pluto is the red of fire, Uranus the yellow of air and Neptune the blue of water. There is no Higher Octave or Mother letter for earth, and I suspect that it is because earth is not an element unto itself but composed as the three Mothers making a fourth combined thing.
Let a new earth rise. Let another world be born. Let a
bloody peace be written in the sky. Let a second
generation full of courage issue forth; let a people
loving freedom come to growth. Let a beauty full of
healing and a strength of final clenching be the pulsing
in our spirits and our blood. Let the martial songs
be written, let the dirges disappear. Let a race of men now
rise and take control. —Margaret Walker, For My People Everywhere
We have this grand trine in earth that might feel dull and hollow if we don’t consider the emotional, spiritual unseen and unsensed world represented by Neptune in Pisces.
If you are not well, you might want to consider asking for inspiration from the unseen world.

Consider this:
“Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long-run—in the long-run, I say!—success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think about it.”
